Hello everyone.
Today in math small groups the kids and I played sight word fishing. They absolutely loved it and asked when we could play again. One student even said he wished he had this game at home. Instantly my wheels started turning as to how to make this possible. I obviously cant get every family the game, but it is super easy to make at home.
Bonding time with your kid, time to get crafty, and in the end you'll have a game everyone can play. It's all around a fantastic idea!
Materials
Fishing pole-stick or wooden dowel, yarn, and magnet
Fish- Draw or print fish onto construction paper, write sight words on the fish, and attach a paper clip or staple to the front of the fish.
Below I have included a list of some sight words. If you need more or after your child has mastered the ones you already made you can google kindergarten sight words to find more.
